According to ESPN, the 37-year old veteran Elton Brand was signed by the Philadelphia 76ers for a 1-year guaranteed contract. Brand will be joining the Sixers' young players to help them climb to the NBA Playoffs.
Last NBA season, Elton Brand played just 17 games with a very limited playing time. Averaging with just 4.1 points per game, Elton Brand is just playing not more than 21 minutes per contest. As per philly.com, Brand is an off-court contributor for the Sixers, being a mentor to Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel is a very big help.
Elton Brand was drafted 1st Overall Pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 1999 NBA Draft. Brand became the first scoring option of the Bulls since he was drafted, wherein he finished his rookie season with a huge double-double figures of 20.1 points and 10 rebounds per game.
