'Jurassic World' Confirmed as Trilogy: 'Jurassic World 2' Storyline, Release Date and Spoilers for 'Jurassic World 2' Revealed

"Jurassic World" fans rejoice as it was revealed that the film will be turned into a trilogy. The speculations were given a much needed clarity after the film's director ; Juan Antonio Bayona mentioned that they were already given a green light for "Jurassic World 2."

Comic Book revealed that the "Jurassic Park" director, Colin Trevorrow will co-write the script for "Jurassic World 2." After the announcement of the "Jurassic World 2" progress, it was Bayona mentioned that fans will get to see more of their dinosaur friends as "Jurassic World" would be turned into a trilogy.

"I think they love The Impossible The Orphanage especially Colin (Trevorrow) loved those movies," Bayona told LRM. "It's very interesting. The whole Jurassic World is a trilogy that Colin Trevorrow has envisioned. We're writing the second chapter, and it's very interesting where he's leading the story."

Bayona then added that he and the rest of the team for "Jurassic World 2" are way ahead of their shooting schedule. It was then added that the rest of the team are enthusiastic to start on the upcoming project.

"I grew up watching Steven Spielberg movies and I love those movies and the legacy, "Bayona added. "So it's a question of being truthful to the legacy and at the same time, bringing new stuff that people will appreciate. We are still six months ahead of shooting, and so far, so good. It's very exciting right now."

Fans can't help but guess as to what's next for "Jurassic World." It was then revealed by CB that there have been speculations that the plot of "Jurassic World 2" would involve the story line of "Jurassic World" where the raptors (the ones that were trained by Chris Pratt) will be used as military weapons.

The upcoming "Jurassic World 2" is set to hit the big screen on 2018. The target release date for the film would be on June 22, 2018.
