Showtime officially confirmed that "Homeland" will soon make a comeback. Fans are eager to know what's in store for them in regards to Carrie and Peter's relationship, they will however be heartbroken as one of their favorite characters would no longer make a comeback.
"Homeland" will officially return to Showtime on January 15, 2016. Viewers may be thrilled for the series' return as Carrie and Peter have yet to put and end on their romance. Though fans are eager to know what's in next for the couple, it was officially confirmed that Carrie Mathison would no longer make a come-back.
The last season revealed that Carrie declined to join the CIA, which left fans waiting for what's next when it comes to her story line with Peter Quinn. Indie Wire then added that the potential love story between Carrie and Peter may no longer progress.
Carrie Mathison reportedly refused to join the CIA for the next season, but the showrunners were able to formulate a new story line. Fans are given a fresh new twist as one of the show runners, Alex Gansa, revealed details in regards to Peter Quinn's whereabouts.
During the Elevation Critics Association press tour, Gansa dished out that Peter Quinn is very much alive. It was then added that Quinn is ready to embark on a new journey for the next season.
"Quinn is alive, I can say that much," Gansa told the press during the panel interview."He suffered a major stroke last season and his very existence was in question. You're going to see a very changed and altered Quinn this year. I think Quinn, this coming season, will really represent a very profound and familiar casualty of the war on terror for our audience. What he endured last year is different than what he'll go through this year."
