In a report made by the boston.com, Los Angeles Clippers head Coach Doc Rivers stated that it's important that Paul Pierce retire with the Boston Celtics. With 15 straight seasons playing with the Celtics, Paul Pierce deserves to end his NBA career wearing white and green jersey.

On the other hand, in an interview with Coach Doc Rivers held by the CSN, he believed that Paul Pierce would continue playing. Paul Piece as a competitive player, Doc Rivers thinks that Pierce doesn't want to end his career the way he performed last season. Rivers also mentioned Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen wants to come back and play.
