‘General Hospital’ Cast & Spoilers: Brian Craig Quits GH; Morgan Corinthos To Be Recast? Teresa Castillo Exits

"General Hospital" is losing another actor as reports revealed Brian Craig has decided to quit the show. Brian Craig, who plays Morgan Corinthos, has reportedly not renewed his contract with the daytime soap. Being a core character, will Morgan Corinthos be recast?

Daytime Emmy winner Brian Craig has decided to abandon his role as Morgan Corinthos, which he has held since 2013, Daytime Confidential reported. While details about the actor's exit from "General Hospital," Brian Craig has confirmed over Twitter that he is indeed leaving GH.

He thanked the network and his fans and wrote on Twitter, "I am extremely grateful to @ABCNetwork , Frank Valentini and the entire GH cast and crew for the opportunity and their unyielding support." He added, "To the wonderful fans who have embraced and loved Morgan as one of their own, I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

As to the future of Morgan Corinthos, details are yet to be unveiled. But being an important part of crucial story arcs, fans can expect to see a new actor taking over as Morgan. Craig's last appearance would be in November.

Meanwhile, Teresa Castillo is also leaving "General Hospital." As the daytime soap wraps up the serial killer storyline, another victim has to emerge. GH spoilers reveal the Sabrina Santiago would be Paul Hornsby's (Richard Burgi) next kill. Paul's target was actually Monica Quartermaine, but Sabrina interfered to save the day and ended up murdered.

The news about Brian Craig and Teresa Castillo's exit from "General Hospital" comes at the heels of the confirmation that Tyler Christopher is no longer coming back as Nikolas Cassadine. Source said that the actor's contract negotiations with GH management fell apart. Christopher was supposed to reprise his role as Prince Nik after taking a hiatus in May.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
