George RR Martin is the most popular scribe today due to the success of his novel series, "A Song of Ice and Fire." However, due to the long wait, many are losing interest in "The Winds of Winter." According to reports, the book is not coming out this year because Martin is too distracted to finish the book.
For those following "The Winds of Winter," a number of reports in the past claimed that the book was coming out but those reports turned to be false. The latest "TWOW" release date that made headlines earlier this month suggested that the book is coming out on March 9, 2017.
Parent Herald previously reported that the controversial date springs from Amazon France's placeholder for "The Winds of Winter." George RR Martin's publishers already denied such claims and Amazon France had already removed the launch date.
For those expecting for "The Winds of Winter" to arrive at the end of the year, it is high time to move on and perhaps, wait for the book next year. According to iDigital Times, it is unlikely to have a 2016 release for the long overdue book, "The Winds of Winter."
George RR Martin has been updating his followers for the book's release date and in one post, the celebrity author announced that he is still months away from finishing "The Winds of Winter." However, the said post was published last Jan. 2, so if the Martin only needs a few months, it should not take a year and the book should be out before January 2017.
Well, the delay could also be a personal matter to George RR Martin. According to Ecumenical News, the New Mexican author is too distracted to finish "The Winds of Winter." Per the report, Martin is active on his journal again.
In a separate report from Parent Herald, fans think that George RR Martin is busy with public appearances, which could have caused the delay of "The Winds of Winter." This year, GRRM attended Balticon and returned sick from the said event. Then, just recently he graced Worldcon.
