'Iron Man 4' Canceled Due To Salary Issues? Robert Downey Jr And Marvel Couldn't Agree On A Deal?

For many Marvel fans, "Iron Man" is one of the best Avengers. Of course, the character is adorable to kids and adults alike. For children, "Iron Man" is an inspiring superhero. For adults, Tony Stark a.k.a. "Iron Man" has all that it takes to be a genius superhero. Unfortunately, fans might not see "Iron Man 4" anymore.

According to reports the fate of "Iron Man 4" is dim because Marvel and Robert Downey Jr. couldn't agree with the pay. Although "Iron Man" fans remain hopeful for another film both parties might not give in to the demand.

Per Vine Report, Robert Downey Jr. already announced that he has turned down "Iron Man 4" due to pay disputes with Marvel Studios. Downey Jr. first donned the "Iron Man" suit in 2008, which catapulted his career to fame. Since then, Robert Downey Jr. has become the highest-paid actor in Hollywood and has held the title from 2012 to 2015.

Parent Herald previously reported that Robert Downey Jr. wanted a $50 million salary increase to reprise his role in "Iron Man 4." Other sources claim that the "Sherlock Holmes" star had changed his mind and asked for a percentage of the sales instead because he knows that "Iron Man 4" will do good in the blockbuster.

In a separate report, Robert Downey Jr. shared a photo of him with "Iron Man 3" director Jon Favreau, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the Russo brothers, "Spider-Man" star Tom Holland and celebrity chef Roy Choi. Many thought that the meeting was a green light for "Iron Man 4" but it seems not to be the case.
