'Crazy Ex Girlfriend' Season 2 Cast News & Updates: Rebecca Moves On From Josh, But Greg Goes Missing? Who Is Nathaniel?

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 just added a new guy in the cast, suggesting that Rebecca's (Rachel Bloom) relationship with Josh (Vincent Rodriquez III) could be over before it really started. The man coming between them is Nathaniel. So, who is this guy and what's so special about him for Rebecca to get over Josh so quickly?

TV Line reports that Nathaniel will be played by Scott Michael Foster in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2. The character is a lawyer just like Rebecca, so they have something in common. Nathaniel comes from a prominent family from a different part of the state. It's still unclear how he'll end up in West Covina, but his addition in the story suggests that he'll impact a lot of the other characters as well.

Variety reports that for now, the role of Nathaniel is a recurring guest spot in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2. But there is a potential Season 3 appearance as well, if the show gets renewed on The CW. This suggests that Nathaniel has a big part in the story's development for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and he's not going away that easily.

Back in August, Rachel Bloom has hinted, via E! Online, that her character is on the road to happiness following her hook up with Josh Chan in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's" Season 1. But this doesn't mean that Rebecca will be finding happiness in Josh in the second season. Hence, news of the latest cast addition -- and potential love interest -- might not seem surprising.

Meanwhile, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2, which will begin its run on Friday, Oct. 21, at 9 p.m. on The CW, will see Greg (Santino Fontana) missing in action. Per Spoiler TV, the first episode back is entitled "Where Is Josh's Friend?" suggesting Greg has bolted West Covina. Photos from the episode also shows Darryl (Peter Gardner) is in a good place after coming out and having a boyfriend.

Catch "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" when it returns on for Season 2. Keep checking back on this site for the news and updates.
