Google has replaced the Nexus family with the Pixel smartphones. Supposedly, the phones will name Pixel and Pixel XL, which are codenamed Sailfish and Marlin. Both the devices are expected to be similar to the iPhone launching in the next month.
The Pixel phones made by HTC look a lot like iPhone. Images showing the new Pixel emerged online, including high-resolution images of the two devices, and a Nest commercial Google released in the Netherlands showed that Pixel and iPhone have a similar back.
It is made up of glass and plastic mixed with metal. The glass cover occupying the entire top half must be to allow signals to pass through. However, there is antenna line near the bottom as well. The purpose of the glass cover is unknown but the phone does look like iPhone 6.
As iPhone 7 looks similar to iPhone 6, people claimed it "boring" "iPhone 7 form factor largely resembles iPhone 6: terrible, Apple has lost its edge," Apple fan Jon Gruber wrote, linking to a The New York Times iPhone 7 critique. "Google Pixel form factor largely resembles iPhone 6: crickets."
According to CNET, the rumoured Google Pixel specs: 5-inch display with 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution,12- or 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 32GB, 128GB storage options, 4GB RAM, 2,770 mAh battery, Android 7.0 Nougat and Google Daydream-ready.
