"NCIS: New Orleans" has just returned for its third season this week, and it is set to welcome another star. "General Hospital" alum Brianna Brown reveals she has started filming for an episode. Meanwhile, NOLA bosses talk about some exciting changes to watch out this season, particularly with the addition of new series regular Vanessa Ferlito.
Brianna Brown, who played as the dangerous psycho Lisa Niles in the daytime soap "General Hospital," posted on her Twitter page about her new gig. The post captured the title page of the "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 script, which she captioned, "In #NewOrleans prepping for my first day on my latest gig!" Based on the image, she will appear in the episode titled "One Good Man," written by Gwendolyn Parker and directed by Robert Greenlea. There were no further details about her role and the said episode is also yet to get an airing schedule.
Meanwhile, "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 is going to see some exciting changes, and one of the major ones is the role of the newcomer Vanessa Ferlito, who plays FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio. Agent Tammy was sent from Washington, D.C., to investigate the issue related to Homeland Security Agent John Russo (Ivan Sergei) being a mole.
Executive producer Christopher Silber told Parade.com, "At first she's rivals with our team, but she becomes part of the team, temporarily at least, and she's bringing a new energy to the show that we're really excited about." Creator Gary Glasberg also noted the kind of energy that Ferlito brings that would make the team more dynamic.
Aside from Vanessa Ferlito's casting in "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3, Christopher Silber also dished that they are beginning to showcase each episode as a little movie itself, starting off with the episode dealing with a sniper on they had to catch. Silber also said they are trying to expand in some ways that would bring more fun and humor to the show.
Catch "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 in its new timeslot every Tuesday at 10 p.m. on CBS.
