One of the highly anticipated Playstation 4 exclusives that is soon to be released is "Detroit: Become Human." It is an action adventure title from Quantic Dream.
"Detroit: Become Human" is set in the advanced futuristic city of Detroit, where humans co-exist with androids as they help the humans as servants. Gamers will be able to play between two characters. The first is Kara, a newly made android who discovers what it's like to live with humans. Kara, who has an artificial consciousness, struggles to find her place in a world where androids like herself are made to obey and follow orders from humans.
The other character in "Detroit: Become Human" is Connor, an android police officer who investigates other androids who deviate from their programmed behavior. The characters may die throughout the game, as the story progresses, depending on the choices players make.
"Detroit: Become Human" is developed by Quantic Dream, the French team behind the acclaimed interactive action-adventure drama "Heavy Rain" for the Playstation 3, and "Beyond: Two Souls" for the Playstation 4. The development of the game was spearheaded by Quantic Dream CEO, David Cage, says that the game is about humans themselves, about life, and the emotions that we have, according to a report from IGN.
Dubbed as a neo-noir game, "Detroit: Become Human" explores themes such as the reality of people and how awful they can be sometimes, and not just the breakthroughs in technology and the possibilities they bring, says Colin Campbell of Polygon.
A demo was released by Quantic Dream after the trailer was debuted at the 2016 E3, where Connor stops an android who has taken her a little girl hostage, and "Detroit: Become Human" looks very realistic, with it's gritty and close-to-life graphics. The game was nominated for Best Original Game at E3, but lost to Horizon Zero Dawn,
The release date for "Detroit: Become Human" is yet to be announced, but fans are expecting the game to arrive some time in 2017.
