"Attack on Titan" Season 2 will have more surprises than what most have speculated. While there is a slim chance that the second season of "AoT" will be released this year, however, recent revelations are confirming of a 2017 air date.
For the upcoming "Attack on Titan" Season 2, fans are expecting that the "Clash of the Titans" arc will be included as the promotional poster for "AoT" Season 2 includes Colossal Titan from "Clash of the Titans." There are also reports saying that the series will follow the first episode of the manga series titled "Basement," according to Ecumenical News.
In the first season of "Attack on Titans" the basement was mentioned as a place where answers could be found although they did not create specific story lines for Dr. Yeager's basement. However, Eren would be delving into the basement once again on "AoT" Season 2.
For those who still can't wait for the upcoming "Attack on Titan" Season 2, the release of Volume 3 of the manga series will also be on September 27 and a comic book "Attack on Titan Anthology" will also be out on October 18. With so many developments on the manga series, it is also speculated that the upcoming "AoT" Season 2 will not be able to follow the manga series completely.
"Attack on Titan" Season 1 was just the beginning but it has already covered the first four story arcs of the manga series. The manga series which has "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising also have 36 chapters which could be presented for the upcoming season.
While, Wit Studio has not divulged any information regarding "Attack on Titan" Season 2 but there is a possibility that the story will closely resemble the manga series as how they did with Season 1.
