Apple And Deloitte Announced Partnership After Blackberry Stopped Making Phones

Apple aims to draw more revenue as the company had announced a steady stream of partnerships with enterprises in the recent years. The giant tech company has struck with IBM in 2014 with the intent of getting more serious about corporate clients. Deals with Cisco and SAP have also followed.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an interview, "What's needed now is more of a focus on transforming the enterprise and helping businesses identify which area have the highest either return on investment or highest impact on customer satisfaction." He also added, "Deloitte is well positioned for this", reported by Reuters.

Apple recently faced pressure to find new streams of revenue after the sales of its smartphones have declined for the first time this year. The company's enterprise business reached $25 billion in annual revenue last year, 2015. In July, Apple sold 40.4 million iPhones during its third quarter, much less than the 47.5 million that were sold last year.

Apple's partnership with Deloitte intents to open a new business with 5,000 "tasking advisors" to help its clients adopt iPhones and iPads across all corners of their business. The two companies will also collaborate on a new product called "EnterpriseNext", and its intent is to make the businesses build custom apps easier for their employees and customers, according to Business Insider.

Before Apple announced its partnership with Deloitte, Blackberry Ltd. has officially announced that they are no longer going to manufacture their iconic smartphones. The Canadian tech company is turning its full attention to a more profitable and growing software business after losing in a tech business battle to Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Apple has announced its partnership with Deloitte only a few hours after Blackberry officially declared its withdrawal to smartphone manufacturing business.
