Pokémon Company Giving Fans Another Chance To Get Dark-Type Mythical Creature Darkrai? Here’s How

Good news, all "Pokémon" fans and Nintendo 3DS owners! The Pokémon Company has recently announced its third Darkrai "Pokémon" distribution that would be available until Oct. 31 in mainline titles such as "Pokémon X/Y" and "Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire" through the "Darkrai20" code.

According to Polygon, the latest "Darkrai" distribution opportunity was the third of its kind this year. As a matter of fact, the Pokémon Company collaborated with GameStop to offer downloadable Darkrai codes in May and by August, Pokémon Trainer Club subscribers also got a chance to acquire the latest addition to the Pokédex. These distributions were part of its 20th annivesary celebration.

So, how can "Pokémon" players download the Darkrai? As per iDigitalTimes, players should first boot up their "Pokémon X/Y" or "Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire" and proceed to the Mystery Gift menu to enter the "Darkrai20" code. Players should then choose the Receive Gift option and click Get Via Internet.

The online gaming and tech publication, however, also warned players to ensure they have stable and good Internet connection before downloading the rare dark-type legendary and mythical creature into the mainline "Pokémon" games. But once done, players would be given their own special Victini and they can visit any Pokémon Center for their Mythical Pokémon gift.

Meanwhile, the Darkrai code is only available until Oct. 31 so players are advised to download their Pokémon Darkrai before it runs out again. Unfortunately, Siliconera learned that those who have already acquired the creature via the May GameStop distribution or through the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter in August won't be able to use the third Darkrai code to get another one.

The "Pokémon" Darkrai is similar to the previously distributed ones that come at Level 100 with the Bad Dreams ability that could damage every turn to sleeping Pokémon. Additionally, Darkrai reportedly comes with four attacks, including Dark Void, Feint Attack, Ominous Wind and Nightmare.
