Facebook Feature News Update: New 'Messenger Day' Looks Like Snapchat?

Facebook has already launched its Facebook Messenger feature called "Messenger Day" in Poland. The new feature, "Messenger Day" is similar to Snapchat's feature where people can also share videos and photos that self-destruct after 24 hours.

According to Tech Crunch report, "Messenger Day" is simply a small test that Facebook is running and that there is no guarantee that the feature will expand. "We know that people come to Messenger to share everyday moments with friends and family," Facebook also commented on this matter.

Facebook's attempt to copy Snapchat's features have no announcement about this matter. However, the goal of the test is to find new ways for people to share daily updates visually. "Messenger Day" also features graphic filters as part of share suggestions, which is similar to Snapchat.

Facebook Messenger is an app people use everyday to communicate with their friends and family. With the test running of their "Messenger Day", people can share more than just sentences and audio. The visual feature that "Messenger Day" has lets the users highlight more of their daily lives considering the auto-destruct of stories after 24 hours.

Some countries including Poland and Russia have low users of Snapchat compared to United States, which makes "Messenger Day" better to adopt. According to Fortune, Facebook's new feature is its fifth or sixth offering that tries to mimic Snapchat's features. Instagram's new photo-sharing feature is also similar with Snapchat including "Instagram Stories".

Facebook will soon launch another feature that lets its users schedule a "live broadcast" and a "lobby system" where people can make it a platform for hang-outs. Are you team Facebook or team Snapchat?
