‘Final Fantasy XV’ News & Updates: Art Director Yusuke Naora Exits Square Enix

"Final Fantasy XV" art director Yusuke Naora announced his exit from "Final Fantasy" series progenitor Square Enix last weekend on the Internet, with Naora's time at Square Enix having spanned the last 24 years.

Attack of the Fanboy reported on Yusuke Naora's exit from Square Enix, based the announcement the "Final Fantasy XV" art director made on his official Twitter account. Through a series of posts, Yusuke Naora explained the details of his leaving Square Enix after 24 years with the company and working on the "Final Fantasy" franchise.

Yusuke Naora explained that he officially left Square Enix last Friday, Sept. 30 with his resignation official after 24 years. "Final Fantasy XV" will also be the last entry in the franchsie he worked on, and in respect to this "Final Fantasy XV" game director Hajime Tabata actually showed Yusuke Naora the ending to the game.

According to the "Final Fantasy XV" art director, the game's ending "became the greatest ending" and it showed that all the people who worked in the development of "Final Fantasy XV" did a fantastic job. Yusuke Naora complimented the quality of the ending greatly.

Yusuke Naora also remarked on the postponement of "Final Fantasy XV," with the art director stating that while he has does not really regret the postponement of the game's release date and was happy with how his coworkers handled his resignation because it felt like the "Final Fantasy XV" development team and Square Enix let Naora allowed him to exit honorably.

Curiously, the "Final Fantasy XV" art director's resignation was exactly on the same day as the game's original release date. Had the game come out on that date, Yusuke Naora's exit would have likely included another monumental milestone. With "Final Fantasy XV" now releasing on November 29 however, Yusuke Naora will now longer be included in the finishing touches on the game.

Yet it seems that Yusuke Naora's work with Square Enix is not totally done, though it will presumably continue with him as a third-party artist for the company instead of an in-house worker. Naora said that he will still continue submitting for Square Enix and working on design projects for the company alongside with trying out new opportunities on his own.
