A Limited Deluxe Edition version of "Final Fantasy XV" has been announced by Sony, with the game set to come in a bundle with a specially designed PlayStation 4 slim console. "Final fantasy XV" game director Hajime Tabata also recently spoke of the game's setting, clarifying the issues of whether the game is truly open world or not.
John Koller, Vice President of Brand Marketing at PlayStation, announced the "Final Fantasy XV" Limited Deluxe Edition Bundle on the official PlayStation Blog, detailing what the bundle will carry. The announcement also included a picture of what the machine coming with the bundle looks like, showing a peculiar design on the console itself.
The Limited Deluxe Edition "Final Fantasy XV" bundle features the game bundled with the recently announced slimmed down version of the PlayStation 4. The face section of the machine shows a gigantic moon design, seemingly the real life moon itself, with a heavily stylized "Final Fantasy XV" title logo imposed in the middle.
Underneath the "Final Fantasy XV" logo were the names of the game's major playable characters: main protagonist Noctis Lucis Caelum, Ignis Scientia, Gladiolus Amicitia, and Prompto Argentum. It seems that the PlayStation 4 coming with the "Final Fantasy XV" Limited Deluxe Edition is the "Final Fantasy XV" Luna Edition model announced to be coming to Japan as reported by Gematsu.
Aside from the "Final Fantasy XV" Limited Deluxe Edition Bundle announcement, it was recently revealed that the game's hotly anticipated open world setting will have some caveats for those expecting it to be more in the vein of recent western RPGs. It was previously revealed that "Final Fantasy XV" will not be completely open world and will be more linear in the second half.
Speaking with DualShockers, game director Hajime Tabata explained that the linearity will not actually comprise the whole second half of "Final Fantasy XV." Instead, it will be closer to the climax of the story as the developing team felt that a more enforced progression was needed as the events began ramping up to the game's conclusion.
From open world to linear; get ready to play "Final Fantasy XV" when both the game and the Limited Deluxe Edition Bundle releases on November 29.
