The next episode of season 3 of "Gotham" will arrive in less than a day and to drive up anticipation for the episode, FOX has released a series of teaser clips showing just how mad this new "Mad City" will become in the episode.
Screenrant shared the "Gotham" episode clips released by FOX, showing the events of the upcoming season 3 episode 3 titled "Look Into My Eyes." One of the most interesting turn of events happening in the episode centers on none other than Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) himself, who will apparently throw his hat into the ring for Gotham city's new mayor in his plans to expand his power.
The clip shows current Gotham city mayor Aubrey James (Richard Kind) announcing his plan to resume his office until elections for a new mayor can begin. The press release is then interrupted by Oswald Cobblepot, who is now embracing his nom de guerre of Penguin as shown in the last episode.
Remarking on James' audacity to try and resume his power after everything he has done, or not done in certain respects, Penguin then announced his candidacy for the Gotham city mayoral office. It seems that Penguin will continue to ride the massive surge in public support he fostered after leading the people in driving out the monsters in the previous episode, with those present at the conference cheering Penguin's name at the announcement.
Another "Gotham" clip showed the new character Alice Tetch (Naian Gonzales Norvind), with the clip centering on her showing her landlord trying to force himself on her after Alice can't pay her rent. Unfortunately for him, Alice' lips are apparently poisoned and he promptly ends up dead short of a heinous deed.
As Comic Book reported, "Look Into My Eyes" will also introduce Alice' brother, Jervis "the Mad Hatter" Tetch, who will arrive in Gotham looking for his sister who wants nothing to do with him. "The Walking Dead" star Benedict Samuel will play the character in starring capacity.
It seems that "Gotham: Mad City" will show new threats and problems coming to the titular city in "Look Into My Eyes." Catch the episode when it airs Monday, Oct. 3 on FOX at 8P p.m. ET and 7 p.m. CT.
