With the new helmer tasked for "Jurassic World 2" comes a lot more expectations, aside from it being an undeniable blockbuster hit during the first installment so many moons ago. Former director Colin Trevorrow has bestowed the crown to director, J.A. Bayona, with a promise of the movie being "scarier and suspenseful" than ever.
In a podcast by Jurassic Outpost, the previous "Jurassic World" helmer said that Bayona, who has a background in creatinghorror movies, had the capacity to make viewers feel the scare up to their spines. After all, with Trevorrow seizing the role of producing the film, it is not a shot to the moon to hope for the movie's success.
Trevorrow also said that it is the thing to be anticipated the most, and not necessarily the dinosaurs, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "I don't think that bigger, better dinosaurs or bigger, more epic-in-scope action sequences are what people are necessarily looking for from this franchise and what they love about it," Trevorrow said.
Aside from being the producer, Trevorrow is also co-writer to Derek Conolly, whom he worked with for the movie "World War Z 2." Trevorrow said he has been working with Bayona for "Jurassic World 2" since July, lending ears for him untilhe comes out with the concepts for the movie. Alternatively, he has been working hand-in-hand with Conolly in developingthe script, in hopes of coming up with a product that all them "believed in."
Also, apart from the change in the brains behind the film, Trevorrow also mentioned in the podcast that there will be more animatronics to be expected. As he mentioned, he and his "Jurassic World 2" co-writer are starting to incorporate thecomplex process starting even from the script-writing level. In the same vein, he said that the director also agrees that animatronics is a priority for him as well.
The previous "Jurassic World" director also said that there are far more things to be excited that you would notreally be expecting. "Jurassic World 2" will be showing on theaters on June 28, 2018 staring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Do you think "Jurassic World" 2 will be a blockbuster hit?
