Cable network Lifetime has released a sneak-peek on "Who Killed JonBennet," a TV movie investigating on the 20-year-old gruesome murder of JonBenet Ramsay, then six-year-old, at her family house in Colorado.
The docu-movie features the chilling mystery of a crime that happened a night after Christmas in 1996, and despite arduous investigation, the killer remains at large. Per a Superfan via Yahoo TV report, after the telepic "Who Killed JonBenet," Lifetime will also feature a follow-up, this time delving into JonBenet's mother's account, Patsy Ramsay's, in a documentary titled "JonBenet's Mother: Victim or Killer?".
Beauty queen and socialite Patsy Ramsay has been accused of being the main suspect in the slaying of her daughter. Yet, she shrugs off the accusation for years until she and her husband have been freed from the court suspicion, saying that they have nothing to do with her daughter's untimely passing. The matriarch died of ovarian cancer in 2006, according to Vanity Fair.
In the preview, a voice of what could have been 26-year-old JonBenet narrates her early years being a Little Miss Colorado titlist. "This Christmas, I would be 26 but to everyone, I'll always be six," a little girl, portraying as JonBenet, voices.
Further goes the trailer featuring different accounts from experts and witnesses, including the ones who have kept silent for two decades, and have chosen to speak up now. The Hollywood Reporter said that in a separate documentary by CBS, a theory on who killed the child beauty queen has rose anew, pointing to her brother as the main suspect and her parents as an accessory to the crime.
Michel Gill and Julia Campbell portrayed the Ramsay couple, John and Patsy, while Eion Bailey played as the investigator. Over the scenes, Payton Lepinski dramatized JonBennet's voice.
"Who Killed JonBenet" will be shown in the cable network on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. and will subsequently be followed with the another special, "JonBenet's Mother: Victim or Killer?" at 10 p.m.
