"American Horror Story" is not going anywhere as it has been renewed for Season 7. The seventh installment of the hit horror FX series will reportedly be coming to the small screen this 2017.
A statement from the CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, John Landgraf, says that Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk as well as their team of writers have done an amazing job in keeping "American Horror Story" inventive especially after Season 6 has aired. He noted that aside from "American Horror Story" being inventive, the show is also entertaining and they are honored to extend it for another season.
Landgraf praised the success of the past installments of "American Horror Story" as well as the sixth season that is currently being aired. He noted that the success of the series is reflected in the huge fanbase of the show and that "American Horror Story" confronts people's deepest fears with "unmatched suspense and style."
"American Horror Story" installments are also cultural events and is highly anticipated for what team, imagery, casts, and twists will be presented. "American Horror Story" is truly much-celebrated as it has won 15 Emmys, E! News reported.
The Season 6 of the series, "American Horror Story: Roanoke," is also breaking records once again as it has been seen by more than 13 million viewers in different platforms. "American Horror Story" Season 6 stars Angela Bassett, Andre Holland, Cuba Gooding Jr., Cheyenne Jackson, Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, and West Bentley.
"American Horror Story: Roanoke" has seen a 25 percent leap in audience as compared to Season 5, Los Angeles Times reported.
It remains unclear what the theme and the plot of "American Horror Story" Season 7 will be but Murphy said that he has a theme until Season 8 if it would get extended until that season. Murphy also shared that there is a secret season he is working on. He said that he has been working with a writer on the season and they are the only two people who know about it.
"American Horror Story: Roanoke" airs Wednesdays on FX at 10 P.M.
