Time and again, "No Man's Sky" created by Sean Murray, officially broke records. The previously highly anticipated video game of Hello Games now had the highest number of declining players.
Yet, despite it being a disappointment after falling short from high expectations, "No Man's Sky" is one of the reasons video game sales reached an all-time high. Daily Star reported that apart from "Pokemon GO," "No Man's Sky" made game developers a seriously hefty business in the United Kingdom.
Over $6 million was earned by gaming moguls as digital game downloads have increased. Figures for August 2016 was said to go up to 11% thanks to big gaming titles like "No Man's Sky."
Sean Murray's "No Man Sky" remained strong in the charts, seizing sixth spot. This is even after the space adventure game was in hot water for alleged false advertisement prior to release.
Before the release of "No Man's Sky," players all over the world raved for its unique game set in a procedurally generated galaxy. For a time, it had the popularity of "Pokemon GO." But when "No Man's Sky" was already available, players complained that what had been promised in trailers did not show up in real life.
Albeit being under fire, the flagship game of Hello Games outplayed World of Tanks, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. "No Man's Sky" creator said that they are then improving and solving issues with the game.
While Hello Games outed a "No Man's Sky" update last month, players are still displeased. On Wednesday night, Polygon reported that "No Man's Sky" subreddit page was temporarily shut down as it became an avenue for hate and drama against Hello Games and Sean Murray.
