'Saturday Night Live': Emily Blunt To Make Her Hosting Debut On 'SNL'

American-British actress, Emily Blunt is all set to make her first debut as a host on the Season 42 of "Saturday Night Live" show. Blunt, will be hosting the Oct. 15 episode of the popular TV show which features the Grammy Award-winning singer, Bruno Mars as the musical guest. Mars will be making his fourth appearance on the show ahead of the November release of his third album "24k."

According to reports by USA Today, the 33-year-old actress's hosting of the show is perfectly timed with the release of her movie "The Girl on the Train." The movie which stars Blunt as a troubled alcoholic protagonist, hits the theaters on Oct 7, this year, a week prior to the airing of her debut hosting on SNL.

Margot Robbie kicked off the Season 42 of the show earlier this month with a phenomenal Clinton-Trump debate parody, drawing 8.3 million viewers. The premiere introduced Alec Baldwin, in the role of the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Reports suggest that this was the show's most-watched season premiere in the last 22 years. The show, produced in association with Broadway Video, is one of the most watched shows that has successfully been running for over three decades now.

In addition, the Oscar-winning actor, Tom Hanks is returning to Studio 8H for the ninth time on Oct 22, reported The Hollywood Reporter. Hanks will be seen promoting his upcoming film "Inferno," a sequel to "The Da Vinci Code."

Season 42 sees the introduction of three new cast members-Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and Melissa Villasenor after the departure of veterans Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah.

Catch the show this Saturday night with Hamilton creator,Lin-Manuel Miranda as he takes his inaugural turn as a host. The musical guest for the week will be Twenty-One Pilots.
