Samsung Confident Despite Galaxy Note 7 Recalls?

Earlier this year, Samsung was on hot water as there have been consistent reports all over the world that the Galaxy Note 7 has been known to explode. In what has been dubbed as the newest smartphone offering from the technology giant, Samsung sure has been getting a lot of cases and reports regarding these phones catching fire.

However, reports seem to say that Samsung has not at all been that affected by these reports as their quarterly earnings indicate that they are still operating at a profit, and that projections would be at a consistent upward scale. Overall, the company may be operating at a profit, but one would have to take note that the mobile division of Samsung is only one of many divisions.

According to the Associated Press, the rise of quarterly earnings was not attributable to the mobile division, but rather it was most likely aided by the component parts that Samsung has been selling. Samsung has been expecting a 7.5 trillion won profit for the quarter, but the actual figures point out a 7.8 billion profit.

Engadget reports that major US carriers have been providing customer support, and Samsung is laying out plans such as another Note 7 replacement that has been reportedly fixed, or customers can opt to replace the Note 7 with the S7 or the S7 Edge with a replacement for accessories for the damage and refunds for any price difference.

Despite having exceeding expectations for the company as a whole, Samsung should not be that confident as users worldwide have not stopped with the Note 7 complaints as there are still reports that even Note 7 replacements have still been caught on fire. For all these reports and incidents, Samsung may feel the effects of this on the long-term
