"Mass Effect: Andromeda" by developer BioWare and publisher EA (Electronic Arts) is getting tightened up for 2017. While doubts rose that BioWare would be able to meet the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" target, recent news confirm EA will make the launch in 2017.
Revelations by BioWare and EA on "Mass Effect: Andromeda" at E3 2016 showed a return to the Andromeda Galaxy. As the first title in the "Mass Effect" franchise to go open world, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is expected to continue BioWare's impressive RPG track.
The original trilogy of "Mass Effect" games was a massive success for Bioware and EA. For a while, "Mass Effect" was one of Microsoft's exclusive series of titles.
The series boasted a broad narrative, a cast of well defined and motivated characters and gameplay that gelled squad-based third-person action with role playing elements. To date, the entire "Mass Effect" series has sold over 14 million units.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is set years after the first "Mass Effect" trilogy. The Express recounts feedback that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is an ambitious goal for BioWare.
Still "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has some steep targets to meet. Not only is "Mass Effect: Andromeda" releasing in a few months, but N7 is also happening in a few weeks.
GamingBolt reports that BioWare seems on top of things for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" as evidenced buy developer Michael Gamble. At the moment BioWare is already fine-tuning "Mass Effect: Andromeda" in what Michael Gamble calls a bug triage.
Specifically, the various elements of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" are now getting a pruning to give the experience a tighter cohesion. "Normally a producer or creative director decides which to fix, which to toss, which to put more urgency on," Michael Gamble relayed.
N7 Day 2016 should then be a treat for "Mass Effect" fans. Especially after BioWare's tease that more "Mass Effect: Andromeda" details will be unveiled in N7 Day 2016.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is set for release on March 2017 for PS4, XBox and PC. What are you looking forward to in "Mass Effect: Andromeda?"
