The American space opera game "Star Wars: The Old Republic" next expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, the trailer has been released. The six-minute video reveals a significant portion of the plot.
Players will don the role of a veteran of the Great Galactic War, taking on the evil Emperor Valkorion and Empress Vaylin, in a quest to conquer the throne, said Polygon.
According to Mary Sue, the trailer opens by showing the woman playing in a park with her young daughter who is quite evidently specially gifted. The mother trains her daughter to follow her footsteps and as she does, she realizes just how strong her daughter can be. The training facility master too realizes this and he takes away the little girl from her mother to undergo what resembles 'Sith' training.
The story turns into a darker side, here, with the color palette beautifully depicting this transition. The serene nature based greens, golds, and whites are taken over by cold and harsh blacks and grays. The mother senses that something unusual is happening with her daughter. She launches a rescue mission to fight the evil forces. However, towards the end of the fight, the daughter chooses to remain with the master.
Reports by Cinema Blend have expressed that players will be able to face powerful actions, influence the galaxy for the light or dark side of the Force and also decide who lives and dies, in this latest adventure from "Star Wars".
The trailer is already gaining high popularity owing to it's concise and well-delivered narration of the storyline. This has certainly evoked interest among the fans and kept them waiting for the launch of the game.
The dramatic tale of betrayal will be finally coming to "The Old Republic" in the coming month. The launch date is set for Dec 2, this year.
