The long wait for the Season 3 of the anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" is finally going to end. The popular series is likely to return for "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 this winter.
According to reports, "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is still in development stage and the definite date of release has not yet been provided by the studios. However, the anime series will be returning with an interesting plot.
The lead character, Ken Kaneki will be taking on a new identity due to amnesia. "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 2, which came out earlier last year, failed to impress the viewers as a result of deviation from the source material and more so from the first season.
After garnering high criticism from fans "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, which was earlier rumoured for release in 2017, is believed to be returning to the manga storyline. Sources also report that the upcoming season will be dark and psychologically disillusioning since gory scenes will not be censored.
Speculations suggest that Kaneki will be a complete Kakuja and will face a new villain in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3. According to reports from Otakuart, MadHouse will be taking over the production of the anime series.
Fans of the original Manga know that Kaneki affected by amnesia leading to his becoming a Ghoul investigator. In this role, he takes on the name 'Haise Sasaki'. As the story progresses he was seen regaining his memories. It is to be seen if the Season 3 will be following this manga storyline completely or the plot is will involve twists around Kaneki's amnesia leading to deviations.
In addition, it is speculated that Season 3 will focus on Touka Kirishima entering into college. Specifically her struggle to live at par with humans and the animosity between her and the lead character will be explored in "Tokyo Ghoul" Seaosn 3.
In all, fans of "Tokyo Ghoul" can expect that the makers will not let them down this time as they await the release of the season 3. Are you up for another serving at "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3?
