‘Train To Busan’ 2 Latest News & Updates: Lee Min Ho, Song Joong Ki In Romance Adaptation? Will Bae Suzy Sign Up?

South Korean hit "Train To Busan" director Yeon Sang-ho points to a romantic follow up, which is buzzed to line up Lee Min Ho ("Boys Over Flowers") and Song Joong Ki ("A Werewolf Boy"). Director Yeon Sang-ho believes that, in the light of growing demand for "Train To Busan 2," romantic material "Every Moment Of Your Life" could very well be it.

Variety reports that to a degree, director Yeon Sang-ho was reluctant to create "Train To Busan 2." As far as Yeon Sang-ho planned, "Train To Busan 2" was never part of the plan.

In truth, even getting the prequel to "Train To Busan," an animation piece called "Seoul Station," had been a daunting challenge for Yeon Sang-ho. Next Entertainment World (NEW), which produced "Train To Busan," felt at that time that zombie films did not have enough following.

As a runaway hit, "Train To Busan" is a certain game changer. What Yeon Sang-ho cautions against, as growing reports that "Train To Busan 2" will bring in current Korean A-listers Lee Min Ho and Song Joon Ki, is for a sequel that feels like a copy of the first.

As the media outlet reports, Yeon Sang-ho toyed with the idea to not have "Train To Busan 2," breaking many a Lee Min Ho and Song Joong Ki fans' hearts. However, Yeon Sang-ho did say that he had had been thinking of an approach to take for a sequel.

Interestingly, Yeon Sang-ho believes that an adaptation of "Every Moment Of Your Life" by Kang Full could be a very good successor to "Train To Busan." The proposed "Train To Busan" successor is a romantic zombie cartoon, which sounds the perfect genre for the likes of Lee Min Ho and Song Joong Ki.

As long as the proposed "Train To Busan" successor is a romantic plot, could "Uncontrollably Fond" star Bae Suzy join real-life beau Lee Min Ho? Certainly a Bae Suzy, Lee Min Ho pair up in a genre that "Train To Busan" helped shoot to the top among Asian audiences sounds strong.

Yeon Sang-ho believes that "Train To Busan" will open up opportunities for more Asian zombie films to be released both locally and internationally. The Hollywood Reporter and South China Morning Post respectively support this in reporting that "Train To Busan" continues to break barriers and records in sales and viewership.

"Train To Busan 2," with or without Lee Min Ho, Song Joong Ki and Bae Suzy are still being deliberated. However, if Yeon Sang-ho comes through with "Train To Busan 2" would you be content with Lee Min Ho and Song Joong Ki or do you have other bets?
