HBO is one of the leading networks when it comes to producing science fiction thriller TV series. For once, their hit series "Game of Thrones" has been dominating the small screens for years. According to reports, HBO's "Westworld" is the next "GoT." In fact, after airing two episodes, reports are rife that "Westworld" Season 2 is already in talks.
For those who watched the first two episodes of HBO's "Westworld," you would probably agree that the show has its unique story and theme. Its plot is so interesting that it can hook any viewer who has started to watch it.
In "Westworld," Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy created a Western-themed amusement park occupied by synthetic androids called the hosts. The newcomers dubbed as guests are free to do whatever they want in the park.
The hosts are raped, tortured and murdered. However, they are later pre-programmed to forget the profanities that took place. This makes "Westworld" so distinct that it is so appealing to the audience.
"Westworld's" premiered episode garnered the highest viewership rating since HBO's "True Detective." Fans and critics praised it for its visuals, thematic elements world building and story. For those who wish to see more of "Westworld" after its first season, chances are high that you will get what you want.
According to Variety, Jonathan Nolan teases that the creative team of "Westworld" is already working on Season 2. Lisa Joy adds that "Westworld" Season 2 will give them the opportunity to address the issues that they fail to cover in the first season.
Although fans would love to see "Westworld" Season 2, you should still take this report with a grain of salt. Per Entertainment Weekly, the next "Westworld" season 2 is not yet confirmed. However, Nolan admitted that he can't stop writing.
