Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Release Date, Specs & Rumors: CEO Hints More Surprises; Xiaomi Mi 6 To Be Revealed? Smartphone Roundup And Updates Inside

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is suggested to be launched with a surprise as confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. Additionally, the company is also reportedly working on its next flagship device dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 6. Could the surprise be related to the recently leaked Xiaomi Mi 6?

The company CEO apparently revealed on a Chinese website that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is now in mass production and it will arrive with a surprise, Gadgets 360 reported. No further details have been confirmed about the said surprise though. However, the fact that the devices are now in mass production could mean that there may be no more delays with the launch of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in mid-November.

Previous reports claimed that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will sport premium specs similar to Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus such as the dual camera system and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It is suggested to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with 6GB of RAM, Parent Herald reported. The price points of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to start at CNY 2,499 to CNY 2,799 depending on the selected storage capacity.

Meanwhile, a new Xiaomi device has been spotted by Priceraja which is believed to be the next flagship device of the company after the successful release of its Mi 5s series. The images of the device dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 6 appeared on Chinese Weibo which showcased an all metal body.

The leaked images of Xiaomi Mi 6 suggest that the new Xiaomi device would also equip a home button that functions as a fingerprint scanner. Speculations emerged that it will sport a 5.5-inch screen display with Quad HD resolution.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC similar to Xiaomi Mi Note 2 but it will only carry 4GB of RAM. However, no reports are currently available on when the device will be launched yet as well as its price point.
