"Mass Effect: Andromeda" Creative Director Mac Walters talked about the upcoming surprises that the next installment of the game will bring next year. Additionally, the release date of the game is rumored to have been leaked in a recent Dark Horse comics listing on Amazon.
In an interview with Geekpr0n, Walters discussed how their team wants to delight fans of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" by introducing them to a new galaxy. However, he also said that the elements of the original "Mass Effect" will still be included in the upcoming game.
Walters was also asked whether their team was pressured with the mixed reactions they received from the ending of "Mass Effect" 3 to which he replied, "I don't think it added any more pressure," Geekpr0n reported. Walters clarified that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is a fresh start for their team and the huge challenge for Bioware is the introduction of the game to new generation consoles of today.
Meanwhile, BioWare has been tight lipped on the official release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" but a recent Amazon listing of "Mass Effect" comics from Dark Horse apparently revealed the deal. Amazon listed "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda" to be available on March, 21, 2017.
The Amazon listing description stated, "Dark Horse will release 'The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda' simultaneously with the game!," Destructoid reported. This implied that the comic book will be released with the game at the same time so does this mean fans can get the game on March 21 as well? Is this merely an error or did they just spill the beans before the N7 day?
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is expected to be unveiled on the N7 day which is suggested to be on Nov. 7. It seems that the big day will no longer be that special now that fans already know the official launch date of the game. However, Bioware and Dark Horse have not given their comments regarding the said leak on Amazon so nothing is still confirmed yet.
