"NCIS" Season 14 Episode 5 will reveal some pieces of Quinn's past, which will shed light to the reason why she previously left her field work. Meanwhile, Robert Wagner is going to return as Anthony DiNozzo Sr.
After Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) left NCIS, Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) had asked Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) to join his team, making her return to field work that she once left before becoming an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center. Spoilers tease that the fifth episode of "NCIS" Season 14 will reveal what made Quinn quit her field in the first place, via Spoiler TV. The synopsis reads, "Quinn painfully recounts the NCIS case that made her leave field work."
The memory would be flashing back to Quinn when Gibbs sent her and Bishop to Philadelphia to work on a case involving a missing MI6 officer. They will collaborate with MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry).
Meanwhile, Tony DiNozzo's father is set to come back to the "NCIS" Season 14, as revealed by Broadway World. Tony Sr. apparently is slated to appear in the Nov. 1 episode titled, "Home of the Brave." The story will be related to Ellie Bishop and Abby Sciuto, who want to sublet Tony's apartment. Who knows his son could tag along? The appearance of Tony's father gives fans hope, albeit small, that Michael Weatherly could still return, maybe not in the immediate future, but given that his character is still mentioned, there is still a possibility.
"NCIS" Season 14 Episode 5 titled "Philly" will also feature former NFL player, Tony Gonzalez, as NCIS Special Agent Tony Francis. Catch the latest "NCIS" season every Tuesday, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
