The MacBook Pro has been widely used by power users, particularly those into graphic design and video editing, causing a lot of excitement with the release of the MacBook Pro 2017. So what are users to expect in the next version of the MacBook Pro line?
According to Apple History, with the first Macbook Pro released on January 2006, this line was the first to use Intel Processors. The earlier MacBook Pro laptops were also known to be slim, durable, with built-in Sight camera, remote control, considerably larger screen and many more, which made it a big hit.
It has evolved into a much sought-after powerful machine for its portability and sleek design, especially the ones released back in March 2015. The MacBook Pro line, belonging to the higher end price range, has continuously been performing well in sales.
With all of these highly anticipated features to certainly improve, many are eager to know the significant differences and upgrades to expect in the MacBook Pro 2017. Tech Radar shared that the MacBook Pro has not been recently upgraded, the last being back in 2015 (13-inch Retina back in March and the 15-inch in May).
So it is expected that the MacBook Pro 2017 is more likely to be smaller and that the OLED display will take the place of its function keys. It is even possible that the 3.55mm headphone jack will no longer be part of MacBook Pro 2017.
The release date of MacBook Pro 2017 was expected to be June 2016 at the Annual Apple's Developer event, but the said event only focused on new software updates. When the iPhone 7 release was announced back in September 2017, many have speculated that the MacBook Pro 2017 update will be announced as well but to no avail.
It is said that Apple developers are working on to update operating system of the MacBook Pro 2017. The current price range for the MacBook Pro is $1,099 US for 13-inch non-Retina model, $1,199 US for the entry level 13-inch Retina model and $2,099 for the 15-inch Retina. With its updates, the MacBook Pro 2017 will most likely be more significantly expensive than the current ones in the market.
Apple has yet to disclose the actual release date for the MacBook Pro 2017. So fans will just have to keep waiting for a bit.
