New features and some improvements regarding productivity for Windows 10 have recently been rolled out by Microsoft for its anniversary update. The imminent release of the second version of Redstone is to be unveiled which excites many users.

Not to mention, the integration of Cortana into the system services and operating system was said to be included in Window's future versions. The Zdnet reported that the ship target of Microsoft for Windows 10 "Redstone 2" is March 2017.

However, there are two major Windows 10 updates that are scheduled for 2017. The first update will make its way in spring 2017 and it is codenamed Redstone 2. The second update will make its way in the summer or in the early fall and it is codenamed Redstone 3.

Recently, the latest version of Windows 10 or the Anniversary Update with the build number "1607," with the codename Redstone 1, has already been released. According to Windowsreport, Windows 10 Redstone 2 could have version number "1703."

However, Microsoft has not talked much about the updates, but there is a higher possibility that it will give its consumers some sneak peek during its upcoming event. The event will be on Oct. 26 and the company has already been sending invites.

During the event, it is expected that Microsoft will debut its latest AIO surface PC, X-box related updates, as well as Windows 10 updates. Not to mention, its surface branded keyboard and mouse.

Announcements regarding Surface Pro and Surface Book successors will be skipped due to its delay and that case dismayed its users. However, good news has been announced by Microsoft since OEM's laptops and devices will be showcased instead.

Reports say that the main focus of the event is "unveiling of Microsoft's vision for the future of Windows 10." So, that makes Windows 10 Redstone 2 the highlight of the event.
