Airbnb To Open Dracula’s Castle This Halloween; Grab The Chance To Meet ‘Dracula’ Himself!

Dracula's Castle in Transylvania will be opened on Oct. 31 for two lucky winners of Airbnb's ongoing global contest. The competition is fairly simple but the price requires fearless souls to spend the Halloween inside the Bran Castle. In addition, the lucky winners will also have the opportunity to come face to face Count Vlad the Impaler.

Airbnb's competition simply requires interested vampire fanatics to write a short passage on what they would tell "Dracula" if ever they meet him "face to fang," Huffington Post reported. Two winners will be drawn from the list of participants though no information was revealed as to how Airbnb will pick the winners. However, Airbnb already cautioned that any garlic-scented items, silver jewelries and holy symbols and accessories will be banned in Dracula's castle.

Additionally, Airbnb also warned that the chosen guests must close all the curtains in Dracula's castle before they sleep for the night. Chosen winners are also not allowed to take pictures of Count Vlad the Impaler. As Airbnb warns, "the count is not a fan of mirror selfies," Telegraph reported.

"Dracula" author Bram Stoker actually based Dracula's Castle from Bran Castle located in Carpathian Mountains located in the heart of Transylvania. His great nephew, Dacre Stoker, is said to host Airbnb's contest and recreate the story of Count Vlad the Impaler. Count Vlad the Impaler is Bram's inspiration in writing his well-celebrated novel, "Dracula."

Dacre reportedly aims to make the stay of Airbnb winners in Dracula's castle as realistic as possible. He also wants to tell the legend of Bran Castle and Transylvania. Dacre is known to be a vampire expert and an advocate of his uncle's novel "Dracula."

Dracula's castle might be the best place this year's Halloween so those who want to join the competition should lock in their entries before Oct. 26. Chosen participants will apparently be the first to stay overnight in Dracula's castle since 1948. Check out Dracula's castle in the video below.
