David & Victoria Beckham Celebrate 16-Year Anniversary, Couple Share Sweet Instagram & Twitter Photos

The Beckhams commemorated a different anniversary over the weekend, as the rest of America celebrated the country's birthday on July 4. David and Victoria held a formal family dinner for their 16-year anniversary and also greeted each other on their social media accounts.

Posh Victoria kicked off the joyous event by posting a photo of her whole family on Twitter, as she greeted her husband a happy anniversary. "Happy anniversary, I love u so much x I'm so proud of our beautiful family x," Victoria wrote.

In the photo, the men were shown all dressed so handsomely in designer suits while the girls matched this with their gowns. Even the toddler was looking prim and proper in her floor-length but age-appropriate dress. It was an old snap, according to Hello Magazine. The photo of the family was actually taken during Elton John's wedding to his partner, David Furnish, last year. Nevertheless, it did have all of the Beckhams posting beautifully towards the camera. No wonder their mom felt compelled to share it.

After his wife's greetings, David posted his next by sharing a photo of him and the love of his life in his Instagram. The message read, "16 years ago today was our special day... 16 years on we have our beautiful children... Thank you for giving me our amazing little ones .... Happy anniversary"

David and Victoria, who married on July 4, 1999, share four kids together: Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10 and Harper, 4, their only daughter. "The three boys love football like their dad; they love all sport, not just football. And they're into so many other things. They love art; they're very creative, very arty. Brooklyn loves photography; he's got a really great eye," Victoria said in the latest issue of Vogue, according to news.com.au.

Their public display of affection and appreciation for one another comes as news of the couple drifting apart due to pressures in their careers have been churning the rumor mill for years. "They barely see each other. One of them's always driving around, picking up the children, feeding them and supervising homework. They both work and travel so much as soon as David lands, Victoria takes off. It's like a handover," a source told Now Magazine.

The Beckhams, it seems, are unaffected by these rumors as they keep showing a united front on social media.
