'Iron Man 4' Update, Release Date & Major Spoilers: Fourth Solo Film Included In MCU Phase 4 Without Tony Stark

Fans who are anxious to know more about the "Iron Man 4" release date continue to scour the internet for more information about the rumored new installment. Nothing has been set on stone as of writing, but rumors are rife that Marvel could consider doing another standalone flick given that Tony Stark's contribution to the MCU has been very important.

Recent updates about "Iron Man 4" are not really looking up considering some sources are suggesting that the highly anticipated new installment will not be included in the MCU phase 3. As Aussie News Network noted, although a new solo flick is not underway, Marvel reportedly has three more untitled movies that are slated for a 2020 release.

The publication also speculated that should the "Iron Man 4" release date push through, there could still be a chance that Robert Downey Jr. won't be reprising his role as Tony Stark given the salary dispute he has with Marvel. It has been further speculated that Stark could eventually meet his end in "Avengers: Infinity War."

On the other hand, several fans still believe that Marvel could actually green light the production eventually. As a fan in a Reddit forum suggested, audiences might get "Iron Man 2020" in the MCU phase 4, and this will be the reported "Iron Man 4" movie.

According to user MCUfeld, the new movie could have a younger hero as a successor to Tony Stark, or Tony could actually use the Time Stone to "de-age." This way fans will get to have a younger Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4" avoiding a reboot.

Stay tuned for more "Iron Man 4" updates here!
