The most recent version of Android, Android 7.0 Nougat has been recently released and there are a good number of smartphones already running using it. For reference, the updated list will be provided
According to News Everyday, since it was released on Aug. 22, 2016, the number of mobile phones that are running on Android 7.0 Nougat has increased. On the month of Oct. 2016, the list with Android 7.0 Nougat already has more than twenty phone models from the biggest smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony, OnePlus, HTC and Motorola.
Each of the mentioned phone manufacturer is working on to have as much of their mobile devices to have the updated Android 7.0 Nougat. Samsung will send the Android 7.0 Nougat to their latest smartphone devices such as Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge and Note 5 soon.
Sony is also on the roll for getting Android 7.0 Nougat on their mobile devices such as Xperia X, Xperia Z3+, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium. These Sony smartphones are said to be the phone manufacturer's high end phones hence Android 7.0 Nougat is necessary to ensure its optimum performance.
HTC has also planned on getting Android 7.0 Nougat on their devices such as HTC 10, One M9 and One A9. Another mobile manufacturer who is relatively new in the business is OnePlus, a China-based company on all of their OnePlus 3 devices.
There are also 15 smartphone devices to run on Android 7.0 Nougat by a company that is known to be making a comeback, Motorola. Some of their phones to run on Android 7.0 Nougat are Moto G 4th Gen, Moto G Plus 4th Gen, Moto G Play 4th G and many other more phones to be released or recently released.
As per Android Authority, Android 7.0 Nougat was released slightly ahead of schedule. With this advantage on earlier release, Nexus immediately had their mobile devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat as well. Some of the Nexus phones are Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and Pixel C.
