Apple is said to hold a press conference before the end of the month to show off a new line of MacBook Pros. It is reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 will feature an OLED Display above the keyboard featuring E-ink display on all keys.
According to Techspot, the MacBook Pro's alleged keyboard will change based on what application was accessed by a certain user. It has been revealed that the system could be applied/ installed on all Apple keyboard. This type of keyboard was shown at a recent private and exclusive event on campus which was hosted by Foxconn.
The rumored MacBook Pro 2016 keyboard, E-ink was introduced by Sonder, a company based in Australia during the closed-door show. They presented a prototype of next generation Apple Magic Keyboard that features E-ink display on all keys, which will make the new MacBook Pro more powerful and efficient.
MacBook Pro's E-ink is sensitive by changing depending on the user's needs such as bringing up different languages, shortcuts, images and other related applications and functions. The E-ink will make MacBook Pro 2016 more appealing to gamers because it makes use of a lot of keys.
Sonder revealed E-ink driven keyboard as early as last year, which makes it just in time for MacBook Pro 2016. Sonder also confirmed that they have closed procurement contracts for three third-party laptop companies. Some take this as a confirmation that E-ink will indeed be present in MacBook Pro 2016. Meanwhile, Sonder wants to integrate E-ink into these companies' products according to Reddit user Foxconninsider.
An Apple spokesperson said that Sonder has been in discussions with Apple's procurement board regarding the laptop prototype presented. Apple's representative is teasing that the technology could be part of the anticipated MacBook Pro 2016. The E-ink keyboard display presentation to Apple's board is also assisted by Foxconn International Holdings and E Ink holdings.
To add the recent reports, Digital Trends shared that the technology Apple is looking into differs from the upcoming version of the keyboard. The current keyboard that Sonder has is not backlit E-ink display just below the alpha-numeric keys while Apple wants it that all keys are backlit and should be fully dynamic.
