'House Of Cards' Season 5 Air Date, Cast News & Update: February 2017 Netflix Launch? Robin Wright Teases Scandalous Season

Viewers are highly anticipating the return of "House of Cards" Season 5. There are indications that the show will be launched on Netflix in February 2017. Robin Wright also teases in an interview about the scandalous season ahead.

All episodes of "House of Cards" Season 5 are apparently going to be launched on Feb. 24, 2017, as indicated on IMDb. Although, it should be clear that Netflix has not made any official announcements regarding the show's release at this time.

However, previous seasons of "House of Cards" have dropped on the streaming platform at almost the same time -- Feb. 1, 2013 for Season 1, Feb. 14, 2014 for Season 2, Feb. 27, 2015 for Season 3 and March 4, 2016 for Season 4. Hence, a Feb. 24, 2017 for the release of "House of Cards" Season 5 could be right on the mark.

Meanwhile, "House of Cards" lead actress Robin Wright was recently a guest on the cable talk show "Primetime Justice." She talked about the show and her other causes with the host, Ashleigh Banfield, per Robin Wright Org.

Fans of "House of Cards" will recognize Ashleigh Banfield as the journalist who interviewed Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) in Season 2, when the character revealed she was raped and had an abortion. Robin Wright tells the host of "Primetime Justice," that while she cannot discuss any "House of Cards" spoilers, she shared that the cast and crew have been closely following the debates between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. She confirms that they have been picking a lot of points from what has been happening in the actual elections.

Fans might recall that "House of Cards" Season 4 ended with President Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) seeking a new term with his wife, Claire, as his VP running mate. The next season will be right smack into the last few months of the election season, hence the Underwoods will definitely be in debates. But viewers can expect more twists, turns and connivance between this political couple.

"House of Cards" Season 5 is in the midst of filming in Baltimore and has recently finish the eighth episode's table read, per executive producer Dana Brunetti's Instagram post. There will be 13 episodes to the season, as with other seasons. Stay tuned for more news on "House of Cards" on this site.
