Attention! Are You A Candy Crush Expert? You May Want To Play The Game On TV Soon!

It seems like candies, lollipops, and chocolates are irresistible even in the virtual world as the very popular mobile game, "Candy Crush" will soon be a live-action TV game show. Millions who have played and got hooked in "Candy Crush" must be thrilled with the possibility of swapping jellies and candies in front of an audience and may take home awesome prizes as well.

According to Tech Crunch, CBS gave a go signal to entertainment company Lionsgate and "Candy Crush" creator, King Ltd. to develop a TV show based on the phenomenal mobile game. The show will also be produced by Matt Kunitz, known for creating series such as "Wipeout" and "Fear Factor."

While no specific details are confirmed about how the "Candy Crush" game will look like on TV, it seems that the plan is to set up an interactive game board where two teams will compete. Moreover, as of this writing, the public can only speculate as to who will host the show and when can the likely premiere date be.

"Candy Crush" which was launched in 2012 is one of the most successful mobile game app ever. A BBC News article reported that as of June 2016, "Candy Crush" has 409 million active users. Still, the hype about "Candy Crush" is definitely not as impressive as before. The declining popularity means significant profit loss so the deal to bring the game on TV is a huge development that will bring in revenues.

For now, it is still too early to tell if the TV version of the "Candy Crush Saga" will enjoy the same popularity as that of the mobile version. Still, with chocolate mountains, bubblegum trolls, and lots and lots of sweet treats - it sure would look tasty.
