Jennifer Lawrence News: 'Hunger Games' Star To Produce And Play Zelda Fitzgerald's Biopic

Fans of America's sweetheart, Jennifer Lawrence would soon see how the pretty actress would have looked like if she was born during the age of the Roaring Twenties. Apparently, Jennifer Lawrence is currently working on a new movie that will feature the life story of one of the most influential personalities of the jazz era, Zelda Fitzgerald.

Aside from playing the lead role, the Zelda Fitzgerald's biopic will also be Jennifer Lawrence's first venture as a film producer. A Deadline article reported that Jennifer Lawrence is co-producing the movie with Allison Shearmur, Justine Ciarrocchi, and Brian Grazer. Award-winning filmmaker, Ron Howard of movies such as "Inferno", "Cinderella Man", and "Da Vinci Code" is set to direct the film.

The newest project of Jennifer Lawrence will be based on a biography written by Nancy Milford. Meanwhile, the screenplay is done by Emma Frost, who has also written for "The White Queen."

It is exciting to see Jennifer Lawrence as Zelda Fitzgerald, the wife and muse of American author, F. Scott Fitzgerald who penned great literary works such as "This Side of Paradise" and "The Great Gatsby." The marriage of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald has been plagued with alcoholism and fidelity issues. Zelda Fitzgerald was also later diagnosed with schizophrenia.

According to a Variety article, Jennifer Lawrence seems to have taken a liking to portraying roles of real-life women who have made an impact in history. It is reported that Jennifer Lawrence will also play the role of Elizabeth Holmes, founder of a health company in the movie, "Bad Blood" and in a Steven Spielberg drama as the wartime photographer, Lynsey Addario.`

Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence has played various memorable roles in movies such as Mystique in "X-Men" and Katniss Everdeen in the "Hunger Games" series. Before the film, "Zelda," Jennifer Lawrence will be seen next in the sci-fi thriller, "Passengers.
