After the Echo, Amazon has just upgraded the Amazon Fire TV Stick with its new voice remote control and a new graphic interface. The Amazon Fire Stick will now tie you up on your seat while watching your favorite TV shows.
The new Amazon Fire TV stick is already out in the market. The new Amazon Fire TV features the Alexa Voice Remote. The new Alexa Voice Remote let you control your Fire TV, command your TV by simply tapping the mic button.
The catch is, the TV needs to be turned on first before the Alexa Voice Remote can perform as per the CNET confirms. However, the new Alexa Voice Remote can also be used in the previous Amazon Fire Stick TV devices.
The Amazon Fire Stick was first introduced last 2014 to compete against major set-top box manufacturers like Roku, Apple TV and Chromecast. Like its competitor, the Amazon Fire TV can be used without a cable TV subscription, everything can be viewed via Wi-Fi internet connection.
The Digital Trends made a quick review about the new Amazon Fire TV stick and they've been praising the new User Interface. Unlike the previous UI, where users need to select a category from several options in a side scroll manner, but in the current UI update, everything is now shown on top of the screen.
This new User Interface for the Amazon Fire TV stick is an absolute upgrade. Another significant change is the large free space in the middle part of the screen which is set for a preview of the show or movie.
The Amazon TV Stick UI update hasn't been released yet, but according to the Trusted Reviews, the new User Interface will be first seen in the Amazon Fire TV stick before hitting the set-top box. The UI update is expected before the end of 2016.
