'NCIS Los Angeles' Season 8 Spoilers: Kensi Blye Dies? Anna Kolcheck Returns

The season 8 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" started with action-filled and dramatic scenes and it continues to the next episode as the team goes all over the city to gather evidence to solve the murder of a navy machinist. Hetty also continues her investigation of the mole, this time with Sam lending her a hand.

Despite last week's episode ending, which showed Kensi Blye repeatedly squeezing Hetty's hand, indicating that she might be on her way to recovery, things might have taken a turn for the worst as the trailer shows Kensi's mother calling Marty Deeks and urging him to rush to the hospital. The next scene shows Deeks tearfully telling Byle that she needs help and he can't do it.

This might seem heartbreaking for fans of the couple "NCIS:Los Angeles" as just earlier in Season 8, Marty Deeks finally proposed to Kensi while she was still in a medically-induced coma. The trailer does not show if Kensi makes it through the episode, or if she will wake up soon.

Meanwhile, according to TV Line, a reunion will happen between Callen and Anna Kolchek in the new episode. Some say that this might indicate that Anna will be replacing Kensi, while she is still undergoing a health crisis due to the helicopter crash. Viewers will remember the security specialist Anna from last season, most especially the heated scene between her Callen as they went undercover.

In the same article, it has been hinted that a romance might be in the works for Callen and Anna. That is understandable as there was clearly chemistry between them in their previous team-up. Showrunner R. Scott Gremmill said, "We're sort of pushing that relationship [with Callen] forward as well."

There's no telling what the rest of "NCIS Los Angeles" Season 8 has in store for fans of the series. Only time will tell if Kensi wakes up in the future, or if Anna is back on the show to replace her.
