'The Last Guardian' Game Updates: The Almost 10-Year Long Wait Is Over; Game Has Gone Gold And Ready To Launch!

After almost 10 years, "The Last Guardian" is finally finished and ready for its new adventure. The game was pushed back its launch date from October 25 to December 6 due to some bugs encountered by the studio.

According to Polygon, Sony's Interactive Entertainment producer Jun Yoshino tweeted out the news earlier that "The Last Guardian" has gone gold. Yoshino's tweet virally reached fans, but then, Yoshino deleted the tweet in less than an hour.

Meanwhile, the President of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that the game really has gone gold.

Given that "The Last Guardian" has been enhanced and upgraded since 2007, the game had to shift podiums from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 and failed to spot it's only publicly confirmed release date. But now, PlayStation fans are, as expected, excited that "The Last Guardian" is finally on its way.

According to Game Guide, the most awaited game "The Last Guardian" is a third-person perspective game that carries all of the actions, adventures, and puzzle elements more than any game. It starts with a male character, which will be played by the gamer. Then, the gamer of "The Last Guardian" is tasked to travel around and discover his world alongside his creature called Tico.

Fans will also have to earn Tico's conviction and form a real friendship with the creature in order to pass and move in the game.

Going back in June's interview, Kotaku reported that the game is heavily based on the game that Fumito Ueda created, the "Shadow of Colossus." "The Last Guardian" is Ueda's latest accomplishment which took him almost over 10 years to complete. Like "Shadow of Colossus," it has two characters: Wander and his partner horse, Agro.

Ueda even revealed that in "The Last Guardian," he made sure that the focus is equally balanced between the story and game. This took him and his team a long time to develop. This caused the ten-year gap between "The Last Guardian" and the "Shadow of the Colossus," which also took four years to complete.
