"The Fall" is airing its final episodes on two nights straight on Thursday, Oct. 27, and Friday, Oct. 28 at 9:00 p.m. on BBC in the U.K. It will be followed by "The Fall" Season 3 Netflix premiere in the U.S. on Saturday, Oct. 29, as all six episodes will be launched on the streaming platform.
"The Fall" series premiere will feature the final showdown between Jamie Dornan's Paul Spector and Gillian Anderson's Stella Gibson. What can viewers expect from this face-off between the serial killer and the detective who has been hunting him down for over three years?
In the past episodes of "The Fall" Season 3, Paul Spector was revealed to be suffering from amnesia due to the trauma he sustained after being shot. He is shocked and appalled to learn that the authorities say he is the Belfast Strangler, the Telegraph reports.
But Stella Gibson is certain that the serial killer is only pretending to be unaware of his crimes to avoid conviction. So, while Paul Spector tries but fails to understand what is going on as his lawyers brief him about the alleged crimes he did against his women victims, Stella Gibson is hard at work in "The Fall" Season 3.
She needs to find evidence that the serial killer is guilty. She's been obsessing about finding any links and connections that would prove Paul Spector should be in prison in "The Fall."
Conveniently, Paul Spector has forgotten most of what went on in his life beyond 2006, when his killing spree as the Belfast Strangler started in "The Fall." So, Stella Gibson has been trying to find things about him before 2006 -- stuff that the Paul Spector could actually remember when he used to call himself Peter.
It will be interesting to see how this final showdown plays out and viewers should watch out for more twists to cap the series, Digital Spy suggests. Paul Spector should have more tricks up his sleeves, given that he's a master at manipulation. But Stella Gibson is definitely not backing down and will challenge him.
