President Barack Obama has his fair share of TV guestings. May it be morning, night or late night, he'd been on a few of those talks shows. But this time around is rather different. President Barack Obama joined the ranks of famous personalities who had read mean tweets about themselves.
"Mean Tweets" had become a favorite segment from late night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Celebrities, athletes and musicians are gathered together to read a mean tweet about them. Their reactions are recorded.
Host Jimmy Kimmel has been doing it for a while. Celebrities like Halle Berry, Cate Blanchett, Chloe Grace Moretz and musicians like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber all have read mean tweets. But the ultimate list may go to President Barack Obama.
President Barack Obama has already read mean tweets in "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" before. However, before the president passes the title to his successor, Jimmy Kimmel had the president read a few more mean tweets about him.
The interesting part is that one of the tweets came from one of the candidates hoping to replace him, Donald Trump according to CNN.
Donald Trump posted a tweet last August. President Barack Obama read the tweet that said, "President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States. Exclamation point. @realDonaldTrump."
President Barack Obama had a reply for the said tweet. He said, "Well, @realDonaldTrump, at least I will go down as a president."
Laughter and applause came from the audience and President Barack Obama ended the segment with a phone drop.
Nonetheless, that was not the only mean tweet President Barack Obama. Although there was only one tweet from presidential candidate Donald Trump, a few others were gathered by Jimmy Kimmel for the president to read.
Apart from the tweet, host Jimmy Kimmel asked President Barack Obama about Donald Trump. Jimmy Kimmel asked whether the president laughs at Donald Trump and the response was affirmative.
President Barack Obama revealed that he often laughs at Donald Trump during the debates. He even slams the candidate by saying he does not tweet at 3 A.M. about the people who insult him.
Jimmy Kimmel also asked the president whether he would run for a third term. President Obama said if he was going to run for another term, First Lady Michelle Obama would divorce him. That probably means the president will stay away from the title after he passes it on.
Election day is drawing near and America has to choose between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
