Mel Gibson Ninth Child Arrival Doesn’t Make The Actor Nervous Anymore

Who would have thought that one would hear about Mel Gibson again? The "Braveheart" actor is following Robert Downey Jr.'s steps in making a comeback after being disgraced. Mel Gibson is also expecting his ninth child this year.

If you were a so-called "millennials", you'd consider Mel Gibson as a has-been actor. But if you were much older, you'd know that Mel Gibson was once the best actor-turned-director that was. He was the original Ben Affleck but with a slightly better acting chops.

You are also someone "aged" if you know that Mel Gibson started spiraling out of control when he divorced from his wife of 26 years, had anti-Semitic rants in public, had a turbulent relationship with a Russian singer and eventually sank rock bottom and away from the public's eyes.

Now, Mel Gibson is doing a "Robert Downey Jr" and is sweeter and milder. The "Braveheart" actor is happier than ever and is expecting his NINTH child with his 26-year old girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, Daily Mail reported. Mel Gibson is 60 this year.

In an interview with People, Mel Gibson jokingly said, "What's one more?" and has also said there was nothing to be nervous about. Mel Gibson, minus all his shortcomings, is a great dad. He has seven children with his first wife and one child with his ex-girlfriend.

Now millennials take note. You'll know about the greatness of Mel Gibson come awards season. His directorial comeback "Hacksaw Ridge" has been well received by the people and even had a 10-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival screening.

"Hacksaw Ridge" is based on the true story of American soldier Desmond Doss during World War II. He saved 75 men without using a gun due to his religious upbringing. It opens in theaters this coming November 4.

Mel Gibson will also receive the Hollywood Director Award on November 6 marking his return to Hollywood's good graces. James Corden will host the Hollywood Film Awards.
