‘Clash Of Clans’ Update Goes LIVE: Rumored ‘Halloween Event’ Confirmed, Updates For 'The Halloween Obstacle Thread 2016'

The rumored Halloween update that sent the entire "Clash of Clans" community guessing finally went live. Supercell revealed the update thru the official CoC page. The update contains Boost Spell Brewing for 1 GEM together with cheaper and faster training for Skeleton Spells, Witches, Balloons and Wall breakers, all of which are offered for a limited time.

But it doesn't stop there, at the bottom of the post lies the message: "Beware: chilling surprises are known to appear during this very spooky time of year." The message could be a teaser or a hint for more upcoming updates and surprises. There's no denying that Christmas is just around the corner, expect the unexpected.

Meanwhile, the Halloween Obstacle Thread for 2016 is still ongoing. The thread specifically created to select the best and the most obstacle placings. The main purpose of the thread is to collect screenshots of each individual base. The criteria for the competition are the following: "The top 5 with the most obstacles and the top 5 by points where an in-field obstacle counts 1 point, 2 points for semi fringed 3 for a fully fringed and 4 points for corner placement and also 4 for special placement (e.g. right next to last years Halloween obstacle and such, I will decide on which deserve to count as such)." The top 5 bases will receive a surprise from "Clash of Clans."

Also, other "Clash of Clans" enthusiast sport their own activities. The video below with the title, "Halloween Spending Spree!" is one of those examples. The video is an upload from Clash of Clans YouTuber General Tony. The video contains footage of the player spending 10 million gold in 10 minutes which is really fun to watch, especially if the gold is not in your bank.

Once again "Clash of Clans" has survived another year and has kept its fan base hyped and excited. Supercell's innovation and ingenuity have set them apart from other developers, although the famed developer has yet to come up with another app to equal "Clash of Clans" popularity. Certain events like Halloween or Christmas are some of their best source of revenue that will keep them afloat while waiting for the next big thing.
