M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Split’ Releases New Trailer! James McAvoy’s 23 Personalities Amp Ups The Thrill

The latest trailer for M. Nigh Shyamalan's upcoming film, "Split", amp ups the thrill factor with the titular character's twenty-three personalities. James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy stars in the movie.

M. Night Shyamalan's "Split" is about Kevin (James McAvoy) who suffers from dissociative personality disorder who kidnaps three girls (Anya Taylor-Joy, Jessica Sula, and Haley Lu Richardson) and locks them up in his creepy basement. Kevin's therapist, Dr. Karen Fletcher (Betty Buckley), helps him through instances when he is confused. Dr. Fletcher studies people with multiple personality disorders and thinks Kevin has reached a threshold of his illness where the mind can alter one's anatomy.

In the latest trailer for "Split", the twenty-three personalities of Kevin are more prominent. It also shows the plan of the three captured teenage girls to find a personality that will help them escape. Unfortunately for the three teenage girls, the different personalities have this kind of loyalty with each other and see through their plan.

The latest trailer ends with the introduction of a more sinister and dangerous personality that is on the brink of coming out. "Someone's coming for you! He's done awful things to people and he'll do awful things to you!"

Besides giving off the horror and thrill of the situation, "Split" also evokes a sense of curiosity. It must also be pointed out that the film heavily relies on the great acting of the cast, especially in James McAvoy. James McAvoy perfectly conveys the twenty-three different personalities. This role is definitely the most challenging and exhausting one for the "X-Men Apocalypse" star.

M. Night Shyamalan's "Split" was "secretly screened" at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. Most of the reaction of the audience were positive and most of the reviews that came out has said that "Split" could be the best one M. Night Shyamalan has ever done.

Just like any M. Night Shyamalan film, there is a twist involved and those who saw the early screening are keeping silent on that. Catch M. Nigh Shyamalan's "Split" on theaters this coming January 20, 2017!
